A gentle word, a kind look, a good-natured smile can work wonders and accomplish miracles!
-William Hazlitt
We humans are caught up in the daily run for our bread and butter. The virtual world that has ceased our ability to look around. A small chat is bounded only to WhatsApp and Facebook. Workout these days are within the boundaries of gym.Sadly, we humans have thought very less of the word “Stress-busters”.
Before you continue reading truly record the answers of the below mentioned questions :
How many of us actually look at our co-passengers while going to work or being back?
How many of us have the zeal to learn from others experiences?
When did we last exchange a smile with someone?
When was the last time we got a smile from someone?
The How’s and When’s above may leave your brain thinking hard.!
Okay, frankly speaking we have very less time to think about others , their feelings , their experiences etc. How about smiling for yourself? How about starting a day on a positive note: “Yes, today I shall do and learn something new! *Looks at the mirror smiles and feels confident* ”
All of us have experienced Ups and Downs but what matters is how we are back to normal! We have various approaches to face challenges and overcome and find solutions but in this process how happy are we is the question least asked?
“Oh yeah! I am happy! All smiling 😀 ” can be told by anyone but questioning your conscience when you say this takes in guts and courage ! Your heart answers it all!
Like Steve Maraboli rightly quoted in his book Life,The Truth, and Being Free:
“Dare to Be
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –
At all times, Dare to be!”
Wake up every morning saying it’s a bright new day! Smile at your loved ones! You never know what it means to them! Smile and greet your colleagues ! Greet everyone you know with that “flash on your face” . It does not cost you anything to give a smile! Give away and feel blessed with the amount you get back. You may never know what your smile can get you through! Let it be there no matter what! God has enriched your beauty with that beautiful smile and you’ve got to flaunt it .! Be happy! YOLO (You Only Live Once).
Cherish the past, live in the present and pray for the future. Smile often . Let not the world know you are sad. Let it become a reason for others to envy you. Let it be your day and it’s you who can make the best of it. Smile at everyone you know because you are happy internally!
On this World Smile Day (Oct 3rd) we request all of you to share and spread smiles just like our blog’s name suggests:
“Live to Spread Smiles 🙂 “
